35 Weeks

Post image for 35 Weeks

This last week or so of pregnancy has made it abundantly clear that all those stories about the last month kicking your butt with discomfort are more true than I ever thought they would be. So far I’ve had it incredibly easy and have felt great for the most part. Sure, I had the usual symptoms, but nothing too strenuous or annoying.

All the most exciting side effects of pregnancy are attacking me all at once now, my favorite being the lower back pain that makes me get out of bed and off the couch with the speed and agility of a 90-year-old woman. I take that back. The 90-year-old woman would totally annihilate me in any kind of speed and agility competition.

Needless to say, all those fears I had about not being uncomfortable enough to be willing to give birth to this kid are dissipating daily, so hopefully by the end of these 5 weeks, they’ll be gone completely.

You look great. I can’t believe in a couple of weeks you’ll have a little baby. My how time flies by. Love that picture.

Ooooh. That’s a great baby bumb shot. I think because you’ve stayed so little, the belly is super pronounced and really cute. Well done, Shannon’s metabolism. Well done.

Thanks! Justin did a really good job on this month’s photo especially, I thought. He even posed me and everything! I was very impressed. This is definitely my favorite belly shot so far. And you’d be even more impressed by my metabolism if you were aware of how much crap I’ve managed to shovel into my mouth this pregnancy! I know I’m amazed.

You look so cute! Your comment on my blog totally cracked me up for some reason. :-) Love your new blog look. :-) I’ve been so buried in a big project I have barely been stepping foot into the blogosphere, hopefully I’m back for a while.

Don’t worry you still have a couple of weeks until the turkey timer technically pops. Jack’s due date came & went VERY uneventfully. I cleaned the whole house & mowed the yard (in July) the day before he was born (& I was till only a 1.5 cm that morning) . . . Belinda’s the best though, she’s got your back & she can even push around Shaba enough to get Justin a couple days off.

You may be uncomfortable, but you’re sure cute. I think Natalie is right, the discomfort at the end provides motivation to go through the labor and delivery to end the discomfort.
