Sorry I’ve Been Absent, BUT….

…I’ve been busy spending my time with this amazing family the last couple days, first in real life and then through their photos. For many, many more from their session, go over to their blog on my Shannon Hunt Photography site.

I have to say that I truly loved this session and I’m so ecstatic with the images I got from it. I’m very proud of this shoot because I had a lot of technical challenges working against me and I feel like I was aware of them the whole time and successfully focused on and controlled the environment I was in when overcoming those challenges.

There is a lot that goes into these sessions that I don’t think people are remotely aware of, so every time I plan and execute a shot and everything works out the way I want it to, it makes me really excited. Even better, I get so excited with every single session when I get more and more and more to go my way and feel like I am growing exponentially every time and really drawing on past experiences and observations.

As I was editing these photos, I just found myself thrilled to death to have found something that I love to do so much and something that I feel like I’m good at. I still have a long way to go (in fact, I hope I never stop getting better) but it thrills me that I can feel myself learning and growing every week, thrills me that I can feel myself becoming the photographer that I dreamed of becoming.

Sorry, Kristy! This post was supposed to be about your family! I got a little side-tracked because it really has been such a fulfilling week for me already and has made me really excited about the future of this little business of mine.
