First, let me just say that I’m a little disgusted at how family bloggy this blog has become nowadays. Makes me feel completely boring and unoriginal. Okay, now that I got that out of my system we can move on.
Justin’s parents were in town this last week for our baby’s blessing and to spend time with us and help us out. It was lots of fun, and it was really nice to have someone who was willing to hold her so much while I got things done around the house. That’s mostly what Denise and I did… hand this little girl back and forth every day and enjoy her attempts at smiling (this morning were her best smiles yet… she’s finally getting it down).

Justin and his dad worked the whole time trying to put in a sprinkler system for us. It’s not quite done, but it’ll get there.

Justin and Lyle are practically carbon copies of each other in some ways and love working on projects together.

There’s Justin getting some instructions. These poor guys were wasted from working so hard. I would say that’s not much of a vacation, but they seemed to love it.

That’s my dad and Yoli holding my daughter during the lunch we had at our house after her blessing at church. I’m so glad they could come down to our house and participate in that especially because I’m a ditz and forgot to tell them and my brother’s family about it until the week before. Look at that baby just chillin’ in her arms, like, oh yeah, this is the life, just carry me around all day doing my bidding. Must be nice to be a baby.

My brother (below) and my nephew Conner (above) also got to come down and celebrate with us. I missed the rest of his fam, but I was so glad to have them here for it.

I love being behind the camera and photographing people (more so than scenery or anything else), but I’m horrible about documenting family vacations and family events for the most part. I just hate being in people’s faces unless they’ve asked me to, so I don’t take a whole lot of photos unless specifically asked. I usually try to get a few just to make sure I document life a little bit, but I rarely pull my camera out during these things. I probably should, I suppose, but I hate being a pest. That, and I’m lazy.
So glad everyone could come down this last week and on Sunday. It was fun having them all here!

That means it’s time to quit that feeding . . . sounds like you’ve got a Jack baby on your hands . . . doin’ it all on her own. Go baby girl!
Oh yeah, no way did I try to wake her up for it! I was thrilled when I woke up & it had been 6.5 long hours! Woo-hoo! That’s a full night’s sleep!
